RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEKEND ARE HIGH: The latest computer model runs overnight suggest that the Northeast will be affected by 2 storm systems. The first, a cold front sliding eastward, will bring showers and rain to Upstate New York Saturday and Saturday night. The first part of Saturday should be decent with temperature rising into the upper 60’s before the rain moves in. The rain is expected to begin around midday on Saturday and continue into Saturday night. Unfortunately, this means a rain-out for opening day of many little league games. On Sunday, a storm system from the south will bring a moderate rainfall to the Northeast Sunday Night and Monday. On average, ½ to 1” of rain can be expected. This probably won’t be a drought-buster but will be enough to cut down on the wildfire risk.
